Gildan Activewear Inc. announced on April 22, 2024, a newly restructured Board of Directors. The board was carefully constructed after extensive engagement with shareholders. The new Board of Directors will guide the Company through its next phase of growth, under the leadership and direction of Vince Tyra, President and Chief executive officer. They will also ensure that the previously announced sales process is carried out in a way that benefits all Gildan shareholders.
The Company is happy to announce that the Board of Directors of the Company has appointed Timothy (Tim) Hodgson as an independent director of the Board. He replaces Directors Donald C. Berg, Maryse Bertrand, Shirley Cunningham, Charles Herington, and Craig Leavitt. The five new Directors take over the seats of Directors Donald C. Berg (now retired), Maryse Bertrand (now retired), Shirley Cunningham (now retired), Charles Herington and Craig Leavitt. Gildan's best interests were considered by the Board when it decided to refresh its board in the near future. The new directors were recently observers on the Board to facilitate a smooth process at this crucial junction.
